The new video "COFFEE PARTIES" is wrong on so many levels. Here are some highlights:
- 76% cited as number of Americans who want a national plan. That tells me 73% don't understand the problems that arise when governments divvy out who gets treated and who doesn't. Not to mention that Government does very few things right, what makes you think they can do Healthcare right? Obama himself said he would not put his children on the government funded plan - speaks volumes.
- "Taxing anything dangerous" = The Nanny State. It is not the role of government to protect people from themselves. This is a very slippery slope. I also find it super interesting that the same people that want the government to regulate healthcare, eating, etc. are the same people that think the government should stay out of women's right to abortion. What's the difference? Government intervention is government intervention.
- "Tea Party members all want to be a bunch of idiots, shouting, racists, close the schools, burn books..." Don't you think this is a little much? Again, this is no different than any other rally that any other group holds, but since it is conservatives they are automatically racists and bigots. Hmmm...?
- I don't think I even need to go into the lunacy of redistribution of wealth. I think even intelligent liberals know this is ridiculous. The redistribution of wealth always leads to a mediocrity of goods and services. What is the motivation to work harder? So more of your money can be given to those who don't?
This is about all the further I made it into the video. More taxes and government intervention is NEVER the solution.
