This is good, real life info. But here's a true story: I researched hormones and cancer on the National Cancer Institute's website and it told me about a certain study that basically said hormone replacement therapy led to increased risk of breast cancer, heart disease... ect. When my wife spoke with her doctor, he said that info was "incomplete" and recommended HRT to my wife. This blows me away- doesn't it seem a place like the national cancer institute should have up-to-date, complete info. What medical sites have worked for other people?

Sometimes health information changes as quickly as it is published. NCI is generally a trusted source however it seems in this case they had not updated this piece of information. Health on the Net is a foundation that regularly checks health related websites for accuracy http://www.hon.ch/
You can also always check with The Learning Center at M. D. Anderson http://www.mdanderson.org/departments/tlc/
or our Information Line service Ask MD Anderson if you need clarification about something you read on our site http://www.mdanderson.org/ASK
