CXCR4 Binding Inhibition

The CXCR4 protein is a chemokine receptor that appears to be involved in several different disease processes. First, the receptor seems to guide cancer cell migration during metastasis. Second, the CXCR4 protein is a co-receptor for some forms of HIV. The animation depicts the inhibition of the binding of CXCR4 with its ligand, SDF-1.
