15-20% of growths on the eyelids turn out to be cancer, so it’s very important to have any changes to the eyelid area checked by a dermatologist or an ophthalmologist. Dr. Galen Spicer of Roper St. Francis explains that if caught early, eyelid cancer is treatable.
