Chemotherapy kills remaining cancer cells. Side effects: hair loss, fatigue, loss of appetite, maybe organ damage, & bone marrow depression (which reduces white blood cell counts & decreases body's ability to fight off infection). Treatments 4-6 months, or years, depending on type and stage.
