Heart attack patients transported to outlying community hospitals in the Texas Health system are transferred through this protocol to the Catheterizaion Lab (Cath Lab) at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, where they can receive lifesaving care to preserve heart muscle.

The protocol sets a target of 120 minutes for door-to-balloon time in the Cath Lab, with a stretch target of 90 minutes.
