As a student and mother, Nairobia was juggling many responsibilities when she found out she was HIV-positive at the age of 24. After overcoming confusion and denial, she began to take medication to treat her disease and live life to the fullest. Today she is a Healthy Relations Coordinator at STAR (Sisters Together and Reaching), a non-profit women’s community center in Baltimore. Her goal is to help others to learn their status and lower their risk of communicating or contracting the disease.
