What are ways to prevent a stroke? Strokes affect about 700K people each year, and has the same risk factors as does heart disease: smoking, hypertension, diabetes, etc. So, control your risks: check blood pressure, sugar levels and cholesterol; eat healthy, exercise and quit smoking.
