Hi There! Honestly, what's dangerous for one may not be for another. It all depends on the person. Raw foodism has been crucial in my recovery. There are people who follow "alternative" dietary lifestyles and can acheive health and balance through them. The key thing in orthorexia is the attitude around food, nutrition and eating. I would advise anyone with eating disorders or tendencies of them - to wear caution on their sleeve when entering into ANY new dietary lifestyle.

I didnt even know there was a name for this. I fall into this category. I have gone thru many things such as when I was young, anorexia for a short time, unnoticed, bulemia on and off, binging/purging, and extreme diets, restrictions, vegan, organic, and now raw. My weight and sugar levels go up and down all the time.
