This is great that he is not treating IBS as a "one size fits all" sort of condition. Everyone is different, so it just takes experimentation to see what are your particular problem areas.

I also think tolerances of certain foods changes over time. For example, I used to drink milk all the time when I was younger, now it upsets my system too much. By-the-way... I agree with the flax seed comment... it's really helpful.

I think if you eat healthy, leafy, green vegetables (lots of them) then you can't go wrong. I also hear flax seed is a great food to add to your diet on a daily basis.
