This is first of the three most basic steps in Salsa. Master this and you are on your way! It is taught very slowly and simply, but if you are feeling brave you are shown how you can add in arm and hip movement as well. So even in this short clip you can see some progression! And it goes even further by gradually speeding up the tempo of the step to match the traditional speed of Salsa music. There’s lots of little tips about things like where your weight should be and how to count a basic salsa rhythm, too.
Would you like to dance the rest of this lesson? This short clip is taken from our full one hour Salsa Class for Beginners program that is availabe for instant download or on DVD exclusively from www.DanceClass.com along with masses of hints, tips and advice on learning dance.
