You may not of heard of the term "Medical Tourism" but the idea has been around for centuries. Traveling abroad for health care is gaining media attention in the United States and some industry experts say the competition could help our system here at home.

I've always wondered about Medical Tourism and the pros/cons. I've heard of this being a more common practice and come to find out the Insurance I have offers this benefit. Thanks for providing some very useful information.

having grown up in another country, I am very much in favor of 'medical tourism'. If someone or somewhere is willing to offer services at less cost that here in the States, then why not jump the pond?
