HIV infection rates in U.S. higher than first thought

In this video, researchers with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say there are more people newly infected with HIV each year in the U.S. than first thought. A new test, applied to blood samples in the lab, is able to help distinguish recent HIV infections from others acquired many years ago. Researchers say they now have a more accurate picture of the HIV epidemic.
