What are pediatric immunizations and vaccines?

Added: August 7, 2008 | Time 00:43 | Views: 100

Crying in a pediatrician’s office often means one thing – a shot has just been given. Vaccinations are one of medicine’s greatest accomplishments. They have greatly reduced the illnesses and deaths from infectious diseases. So much so that younger generations don’t even know what quarantines are or have never lost a classmate to polio or measles. Vaccines are not without controversy, though, and some claim they cause or contribute to other medical conditions. Crying in a pediatrician’s office commonly means that yet another child has just suffered medical abuse by getting injected with highly toxic vaccines. In some African countries, girls are commonly made to sufferer genital mutilation, while in "developed" nations we blight our children by injecting them with neurotoxic substances. This barbaric practice started with Edward Jenner's smallpox vaccine which although a total failure, was celebrated as a triumph of medical science to save face and and to protect medical revenues. Vaccines have never protected anyone, let alone saved anyone's life.
